Hatcher, born in Dooly County, was the son of the Robert Sanders Hatcher and Annie Slaughter Hatcher. He was active in the Methodist Church having served on the official board of the Church in Dublin, McRae and Cochran. He was member of the First Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Hatcher began his business career in the wholesale grocery business in Dublin in 1915, starting, with the S.

Street Co. He was manager of W. R. Werden of Dublin from 1945-50 and officer and manager of the Telfair Grocery Co. of McRae from 1950-55.

Since 1955 he was owner and manager of the H. M. Hatcher Grocery Co. of Cochran. He was a director of the Georgia Association of Wholesale Grocers.

Survivors include his widow, the former Irene Hall of Laurens County; one son, Henry M. Hatcher Jr. of Atlanta; two daughers, Mrs. John C. Waldrep of Macon and Mrs.

Charles Turner of Marietta; four brothers, John Hatcher of Cochran, Jackson Hatcher of Quincy, Louis Hatcher of Dublin and Edgar Hatcher of Augusta; Mrs. B. W. Oliver Mrs. J.

Arabi Man Dies in Wreck CORDELE A 56-year-old Arabi man was killed and a passenger in his car injured Monday morning when their car collided with a large tractor-trailer vehicle about seven miles south of Cordele at the Arabi-Warwick intersection on Georgia Highway 33.

Pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the Crisp County Hospital was Dan Henderson Goff, who, according to officers of the Cordele State Patrol Post, was traveling east on the ArabiWarwick Road when he ran a sign into the path of a truck driven by James Edgar West, 26, of Coolidge. Willie Mae West, a Negro passenger in Mr. Goff's car, suffered severe lacerations of the head. A native of Turner County, Goff was the son of the late James A. and Eugenia Davis Goff.

He had lived near Arabi for 18 years and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Goff was a carpenter. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Vicie Carroll Goff of Arabi; two sons, Reggie H.
